Today is the day that I came into the world, and I decided to spend it capturing myself!

As I am now, in all my splendor. Originally I had planned to share two studio photo shoots, but I felt that the photos from the first session were only good for IG. And that was after slapping a filter to them! In my defense, this was my first time giving a reflector a go. Using one was fun but for the reflector that I have, having at least two extra set of hands available is a must!

Maybe I’ll treat myself to a reflector with a handle on it for my birthday later this week. I already joined The Beginner Photographer Podcast today, so why not?

Either way, I am super happy how these photos that I will share with you all turned out! Needless to say that I am still a work in progress, but I am happy with that too. If I’m not working on improving, then how will I ever improve? Thank you for visiting my site and I look forward to sharing more developments with you all soon!

Seeing one 'acceptable' troupe for fat black women like me was more than enough to entice me to step up and take a shot! ______________________________________________________________________________________________ After spending hours on stock pile sites and not finding the images of women that she wanted to see on her blog or book covers led K. McCoy to make more of her photography hobby. Besides shooting portraits, street and travel photography, K. McCoy would love to tap more into her creative skills and collaborate with cosplay artists as well as authors looking for their dream book covers.
